Happy drabble day~. UGH MY WORK WEEK. WHYYYY. T^T
New characters have been almost properly made! They have names and histories at least. >.> I do love a new character creation.
9-14-12: Fear and Loathing
Characters: Shayden Hashimoto
It was worse than simply avoiding attachment—Shayden both wanted and feared it.
He wanted nothing more than to have the trust and confidence to give all of himself over to somebody, and for that somebody to treasure what he gave.
But the fear of what would happen to him if he did hand his heart, body, and soul over to another, who might one day toss him aside, kept him from ever fully trusting anyone. He took the easy way out—quick, aloof, and amiable, he could be with anybody, and belong to no one.
It was destroying him.
9-15-12: Bandman
Characters: Tomoki Yonemura, Nozomu Ito, Shayden Hashimoto
Tomoki knew it the moment he heard the man play—he was the one they needed.
He glanced over at Shay, the only other original member left. They shared a look; Shay knew it, too.
“Ito-san,” Tomoki said, prompting the man to silence his guitar strings. He smiled. “You’re in.”
The tall and lanky man’s eyes went wide, and he gripped his guitar in shock. “Eh? H-honto ni?”
Tomoki smiled again, getting to his feet. The man may not have spoken more than broken English yet, but now three-fourths of the band spoke Japanese. “Hai. Yoroshiku ne.”
9-16-12: Twilight
Characters: Eddie Valentine, Carter Valentine
Eddie was certain he’d never read anything so horrific in his life—he had certainly never regretted conducting an internet search as much as he did now.
All he’d wanted was to understand the jokes people had been making to him at work lately—something about sparkles, yellow eyes, and bitchy swans. He hated not knowing why he was the butt of a joke; now he was tempted to try filing down his fangs.
Closing the tab in disgust, he stomped over to his phone and dialed his brother.
“Eddie? What—”
“DON’T EVER LET MORGAN TOUCH A STEPHENIE MEYER BOOK!”
9-17-12: Alone, Not Lonely
Characters: Christopher Larkin
The kitchen was definitely the best part.
The space was truly his, and only his. It was modest but that was his budget, and he was happy with it. He spent days arranging everything just so, plotting out the flow of his apartment from every corner. He loved it here, loved coming home.
It was just… when the sun went down, normal house-sounds seemed amplified, and terrifying the longer the night went on.
There was only one person he could think of who wouldn’t mind a phone call from him at this hour… but he didn’t have Ryo’s number.
9-18-12: Wounded
Characters: Shayden Hashimoto
He could hear them as soon as he got the door open—Robert and someone else, in the throes of passionate lovemaking. He had only been gone ten minutes.
Numbly, Shay moved down the short hallway to their shared room. Robert had been his first in every sense; Robert had said those three little lies when he’d left.
Robert saw him then.
The clamor that followed would draw the entire dormitory out of their rooms, and get Shay removed to another hall, but none of that mattered. No punch or kick could hurt Robert the way Robert had hurt him.
9-19-12: Inside Job
Characters: Aki (Brandon Kimura)
His room was white and barren, just as it had always been. It never reflected his own outward changes, but that was the way his master wanted it.
He didn’t know how old he was, or how long he had been here. He didn’t remember his life before here, so time didn’t really matter.
He knew there was a job when they brought him his guns. Tonight they brought his matching pair as well as his rifle, which meant fieldwork this time.
Muscle memory rather than attention got his guns dismantled, cleaned, and prepared. That would be his great mistake.
9-20-12: Long Shot (Part 1)
Characters: Aki (Brandon Kimura), Alex MacKinzey
His pulse was slowing. He felt each rattling breath, and the sticky damp of the gauze soaking his shirt. Still, he drove.
He had envisioned this sort of end almost since the beginning—eventually he would get too injured to care for himself, and he would die somewhere. It was taking far too long, though.
He nearly missed the garage, pulling to a slow stop just past it. Why he chose the mechanic’s workplace for his final destination, he had no idea. Maybe the man would want to keep the special vehicle he’d crafted.
Maybe he would still be inside…
