Drabble A Day vol.24

Ngl, I'm a little drunk right now. Bad day at work, tired, more shit to come, etc. Soo drabbles are late, but w/e, enjoy.
1-24-13: This Me
Characters: Shizuka Inoue, Christopher Larkin, Alex MacKinzey
The boy was pretty, alright—unfortunately, he was still a boy. Definitely near manhood, sure, but there was an innocence about him that Shizuka just couldn’t ignore.
Pity, he thought as he checked out the boy’s books. He read the name on the library card this time, and grinned when this Christopher began to blush. He definitely couldn’t make a move on him, but flirting anyway quickly proved to be fun.
One day the blush wasn’t quite so bright; a man his age met Chris at the counter with a kiss.
Shizuka didn’t know why, but suddenly he felt lonely.
1-25-13: A Little Goes A Long Way
Characters: James Landon, Eddie Valentine
They weren’t a very likely pair, but James had a feeling that would apply to any pair Eddie was part of. He didn’t get along very well with others—then again, neither did James.
He’d first seen Eddie in the bar; it was the air of loss around him that had made James look twice. It was a vulnerability he could recognize, one he didn’t allow himself to show.
Then he’d watched the 5’2” man haul away and toss out a rowdy drunk like he was made of styrofoam. Even he couldn’t help striking up a conversation after that.
1-26-13: Double Scoop
Characters: Tomoki Yonemura, Shizuka Inoue
Looking back, it was ironic they hadn’t met in a club. That would’ve made more sense.
But no; their first meeting wasn’t on the floor or at the bar. It was on the bench in front of Yone’s favourite ice cream parlour.
He’d simply needed caramel chocolate swirl that day. He’d been enjoying it thoroughly—maybe a bit too thoroughly, if that was what had made Zuka stop to finish his own cone. He only found that out later, though.
They continued to meet for coincidental chats over ice cream, until Zuka finally got the courage to ask him out.
1-27-13: Special Occasion
Characters: Tomoki Yonemura (incubus form), Alex MacKinzey
It was a very special day for Yone, and he intended to treat himself. At least, that was what he’d tell the man in his dream. Incubi didn’t have birthdays, but it was a device that worked wonders to advance the dreams he crafted. He knew just who he wanted to use it on.
“It’s my birthday,” he purred into the man’s ear, entering the dream. So far this man had never given into his advances, repressed even in sleep. Normally he would move on, but he couldn’t leave this one alone.
Tonight, at last, he would have his way.
1-28-13: Into the Dark
Characters: Christopher Larkin
Chris abhorred violence, but the self defense lessons had been part of his recovery. They were useful, and did make him able to walk alone after dark, even years later. But his defenses were down at home.
He was well-versed in the signs of abuse, unwilling to be a victim again. They had argued about his boyfriend’s controlling ways; there was yelling, followed by apologies, but Chris knew he was done.
It was as he tried to leave that his boyfriend hit him. That was when all his lessons flew out the window, and he went for the knife.
1-29-13: Escape
Characters: Jacob Knight
He’d fucked for the train money, and he was riding it as far as it would take him. It wasn’t far, since not many had wanted to fuck him still bruised and bleeding in places. But it was away from those people.
Jake just wanted to curl up and sleep, and preferably never wake up. He ached too much to sleep though, and it took everything he had not to break down sobbing on the train full of people.
It struck him then that it wouldn’t matter if he did; no one had helped him before, no one would now.
1-30-13: Left and Leaving
Characters: Torran MacKenna, Cillian Catherwood
Truthfully, Torran wasn’t sad to leave Ennis behind. It wasn’t a bad place, but it was the first one they had run away to, and too much sorrow clung to the walls of their flat.
He would miss Cillian, though. And playing football after school, but he could do that anywhere. Cillian had been the only one he could talk to at all, which was a bit ironic considering the boy was mute.
The family needed the money from working in Dublin, though. He said goodbye with a rare hug, and a promise to reconnect that he intended to keep.

Date: 2013-02-02 05:34 am (UTC)2. XDD Hahaha, I bet James' face was all O____O!, when he saw Eddie toss someone out.
3. Awwww... so cuuuuute and somehow pervy at the same time. But yay, Zuka! Be brave!
4. XD Sneaky Yone... lying to Alex like that. Funnily enough, I bet when Alex realizes what he is and that he doesn't really have a 'birthdate', when Yone comes to the waking world, Alex will remember that date and use it as his birthdate.
5. DDD: Chris! I hope he doesn't get in trouble... or hurt... *frets*
6. T___T Jaaaake... *hugs him carefully* Don't worry... Someone will love you and look after you at the end of the tracks...
7. Aww, Torran... keep in contact! Cillian will need a friend. D:

Date: 2013-02-02 06:04 am (UTC)2. Haha, though I have to wonder what James would do with vampy Eddie.
3. Bonding of ice cream comes before bonding over sex. >.>
4. Aww, Alex, so schmoopy. Yone will totally wibble if he does that.
5. He won't... don't worry, I was just trying to see what it would take for Chris to go that far.
6. No excuse for this one, sorry. >.>
7. Torraaaaan. I will prolly be drabbling a lot more about him to catch up now. :D
Sorry, it happens when I'm tired and stressed and grumpy sometimes...
