Drabble A Day vol.28

Been back from Hawaii for a few days now... bacation is sadly drawing to an end. :(
Happily, though, I've been able to keep up with my drabbles! Yay~. Also, it's another double posting day since I've got two weeks of posting to catch up with. >.>;
3-14-13: Skin Regimen
Characters: Shayden Hashimoto, Nozomu Ito
He hadn’t meant to make it a habit. The dress he’d worn for Nocchi that one night had just needed shaved legs to show it off. Now, though, he really didn’t have any excuse.
It wasn’t just for Nocchi’s sake, either. There was something appealing about how soft shaving made his skin, and how much it made his lover need to touch. Pulling on skintight pants felt more like foreplay.
Nocchi had to say something the third time Shay pulled him into a closet after another photo shoot—not to complain, just to suggest Shay perhaps look into wearing skirts.
3-15-13: Validated
Characters: Tomoki Yonemura
Dear Yone,
Thank you for working so hard to come back after your surgery. Your music has helped me through the worst times of my life, and is there for the best times, too. I’m happiest when you’re making music, because you have a voice that needs to be singing. Nothing’s better than getting to hear it again.
There’s more to the letter, but Yone has to put it down. He’s only been back for a few weeks, thanks to his first single in more than a year; now, for the first time, he knows it was all worth it.
3-16-13: Eyes Up
Characters: Justin Nanami, Christopher Larkin
That was the third time just on this lunch date. Justin was getting pissed.
Not that he could blame the oglers for looking a little too long at his boyfriend—that didn’t mean he wanted them making eyes at a man who was clearly already taken.
“What’s wrong?” Chris asked, the worry on his face telling Justin he’d been scowling outright rather than keeping his feelings to himself.
“Nothing,” he said, looping an arm around Chris sweetly, though he couldn’t quite hold back his true thoughts. “…I just want to be the only one staring at your ass that long.”
3-17-13: False Freedom
Characters: Carter Valentine, Jacob Knight
The best (and really only good) thing about having the money was being able to spend it. Carter had just wanted privacy and to be away from people, but now he was glad he’d shelled out for a private cabin on the upper deck for another reason entirely.
Jake was too beautiful, standing naked on his private balcony, watching the sunset. Carter came out in his fluffy white bathrobe, hair still damp like Jake’s. He held out his arms, and wrapped them both in white terrycloth.
They still had one more day together. They didn’t have to be sad yet.
3-18-13: Can't Take Us Anywhere
Characters: Makoto Nanami, Marcus Nanami, Matthew Nanami
It was supposed to have been one last big family vacation before the kids started going their own ways. Now Makoto could only be grateful he had a strict no-guns rule for his family on vacations.
“But Daaad, they keep looking at her!” Marcus was telling him, Matthew nodding vigorously beside him.
“Yes, and Abbie can take care of herself,” he replied for what felt like the eighteenth time. His twins pouted at him simultaneously.
“You’d at least break their hands if we were back home!”
“Yes,” Makoto said calmly, “but we’re on vacation, and that means no work.”
3-19-13: Out of the Ocean (Part 1)
Characters: Hinata Hanazaki, Christopher Larkin, Eddie Valentine
Hana knew what he had to do. He was the reason Chris had been captured by those fishermen; he had to get himself captured too. It was the right thing to do, and the only way he could ever see his best friend again.
But as he waited for the sun to rise and expose him to the human world, something happened:
He met someone else living his life hidden away.
Eddie was different, from him and from humans. Amazingly, unbelievably, he had information about Chris. His brother was a scientist, Eddie said, and he was trying to help him.
3-20-13: Out of the Ocean (Part 2)
Characters: Christopher Larkin, Alex MacKinzey
Chris knew what happened to merfolk like him. If they were sad enough, heartbroken enough, alone enough, they wasted away until one day they became nothing but the foam in the waves.
He didn’t know if that would happen to him here. He was sad, heartbroken, and alone, but he was in a tank, not the ocean. There were no waves here for him to join, only endless fingers and instruments poking, prodding, tapping.
There was a man who kept coming, though, who silently observed him. Their eyes met once, and Chris thought for a moment someone saw his pain.

Date: 2013-03-29 03:54 am (UTC)2. T^T Yoooone. Aw, this is so cuuuute! I bet lots of people react the same way, even if they don't end up writing to him about it.
3. Hahahaha... XD Oh Justin... no you can't shoot people in the face for looking at Chris' butt. Even if you want to.
4. Awww... this is so cute even if it's still kind of sad. Poor Jake and Carter.
5. XD No work means no shooting people for looking at your daughter/sister. Doesn't mean you can't trip them into the pool or something. >.>;
6. T^T Poor Hana... feeling so guilty for poor Chris. !! Does Chris work with Carter?!
7. Aleeeeeex!! Rescue Chris!! T^T Don't let him waste away!!

Date: 2013-03-29 04:40 am (UTC)2. <.< I may have just taken this from some of my own thoughts about Yasu. I'm sure he got some like that too, though.
3. Hahaha, poor J.J. Will have to try so hard to refrain from shooting anyone.
4. Inooo. :< At least they get a happy ending eventually.
5. XD Good point... one which I'm sure the twins will realize quickly enough.
6. Ino, I feel bad for guilty!Hana. And "work with" is not exactly how I'd put it... but what other scientist would they call to work on a supernatural being? >.>
7. *pooshes him* Do itttt! My working title for this series was "mermaid rescue". >.>
