Through the din the of the director shouting to be heard over the wind machine, the voice of the fight choreographer was in his head.

Block! Block! Dodge! Kick! Spin! Back flip! Retreat! Standoff!

“CUT! Turn that goddamned wind machine down!”

Aaron let out a breath and eased his stance, careful to keep his mark as hair and makeup swept in to fix what the first take had put out of place. He tuned out the director's vociferous resetting of their fight stage, and let his gaze wander to his opponent.

He'd seen some of Tav's films before, but this was his first major part in an action movie. Aaron couldn't understand why—his energy was insane, his face and stature striking, and his fighting ability flawless. Even a seasoned stuntman like himself felt like a hulking mess beside Tav's lithe and precise form.

Tav caught him looking just then, but Aaron was spared any embarrassment by the makeup woman choosing that moment to move directly in front of him to fix the artistic scratches on his face. Something about Tav's eyes unsettled him—like they feared nothing, and saw through everything. Unfortunately they were attached to a man it was impossible to look away from for very long.

Rehearsals yesterday had been fine. But slow and careful blocking in sweats in the gym was nothing compared to going full throttle in full costume on set. Suddenly every carefully choreographed movement made sense, every twist and pull to get Tav's riotously coloured hair to float at just the right speed, to get his supple black leather to catch the light, to highlight his pretty face and distracting range of motion. How could Aaron not want to sit back and watch?

“ARE WE READY?” The director's booming voice never needed a megaphone, and he didn't wait for an answer. “Fabulous. BACK TO THE BEGINNING, TAKE IT FROM THE TOP!”

Regrettably, it was time to play the good guy again, and to try to do so without getting himself injured. As the set quickly cleared for take two, he looked back across the space between him and Tav—and found Tav staring right at him. Had he ever looked away?

“WIND, BACKGROUND ACTION... ACTION!”

With no time to recover his rattled nerves, Aaron flew forward into the take and immediately fell behind in blows. It was a planned fight between two very different warriors who were meant to be equally matched; but Tav clearly had the upper hand.

Mustering every ounce of command in his body, Aaron pushed to find his timing and save the take. His arms became a blur as he allowed pure muscle memory to take over, chasing his marks and trying to outrun those eyes that probably knew exactly what was wrong with him.

It seemed like a quick eternity, but at last he managed to catch up. Perhaps it was knowing his triumph that made him look again to challenge Tav's gaze, but when he did, Tav smiled—and suddenly Aaron was on his back, felled by a set dressing he should have seen.

“CUT!! RESET!! MEDIC!!”

“I'm fi—”

Before Aaron could get the word out, Tav was stooped above him, his face much too close. Aaron's voice dried up and he couldn't look away.

After a moment Tav's eyes narrowed. “Well, you're distracted.”

Aaron floundered for a bit, but he couldn't find a lie to try and formulate to save face. “I... m'sorry.”

“Don't worry,” Tav replied with a shrug. Then he smiled again, hungrily. “You're not the only one.”

Pure heat sizzled from Tav's eyes and went straight to Aaron's groin. He watched Tav get up as the on-set medic made it over to check his ankle, but all that was on his mind was the vision of Tav's ass in tight leather—and what it might feel like out of it.

Hahaha, awwww, poor AJ. Don't worry, Tav has that affect on people. You'll get used to it. :3
