Might be moving these to Wednesdays, if this is going to be my new work schedule. I only did it on Thursdays because that was my second day off for the week, but now I have to get up at asscrack o'clock to work in the morning. :| We'll see.
10-12-12: More Than This (Part 1)
Characters: Shayden Hashimoto, Nozomu Ito
The show had been amazing. Shay glanced around at the dancers on the club floor, still buzzing as they celebrated with cold beers.
In the span of about two seconds, every good feeling was gone. It was Michael—and someone else.
They hadn’t necessarily been exclusive, but his current lover’s sweet words had clearly meant more to Shay than to him. And he knew just what was about to happen as the amorous couple headed for the bathrooms.
His bandmates had seen it too; he grabbed his coat and ran out into the cold, not seeing Nozomu running after him.
10-13-12: More Than This (Part 2)
Characters: Shayden Hashimoto, Nozomu Ito
Hours had passed, but it seemed like a small lifetime ago that he’d been happily raising glasses with his bandmates. He’d never realized how much could change in such a short amount of time.
Nozomu had him back under the blanket on his couch, both of them freshly showered and the older man in borrowed clothes. Shay’s eyes still felt puffy, but he was done crying.
It was just ironic that the one person who’d promised to stay through the night was the one person he hadn’t slept with here—and the only person who loved him as he was.
10-14-12: Downpour (Part 2)
Characters: Christopher Larkin, Ryo Maeda
It was raining, and only one of them had a car. What else could he do?
“Awkward” was far too weak a word for the atmosphere in the car as Ryo drove him home; Chris barely even needed to give directions.
Ryo came to a stop in front of the house, and Chris did his best to collect all of his groceries in his slightly torn and very damp bag. He pulled the door handle, then hesitated before turning to Ryo.
“Would you, um… w-want to maybe get a coffee tomorrow?”
Ryo’s squeak was followed by a quick yes.
10-15-12: Another Long Night
Characters: Makoto Nanami, Yukio Katsukawa
It was two a.m. when he finally got home, and all he wanted to do was sleep. Unfortunately he still had to process the night’s earnings and lock them up. He cursed under his breath all the way to his office.
The boys were all asleep aside from those on night watch when Makoto emerged again at nearly three, and he headed straight upstairs.
He always hoped to find Yu asleep, but even when he did, the slightest noise woke him up. The light was still on tonight.
“You should be sleeping,” Makoto murmured against his lips, already feeling better.
10-16-12: Giving Back What Was Taken
Characters: Christopher Larkin, Alex MacKinzey
They took things slowly. He was of age now, yes; but Chris had to be ready.
They kissed; they touched through clothes; they got used to each other’s bodies, their strengths and weaknesses.
They began getting undressed; they explored each other’s skin with their hands and their mouths.
They touched each other, brought each other to climax.
Chris was ready.
The night he let Alex inside him was slow and sweet, then harder and faster. Chris had no more fear; his body was finally his own again, and he was happy to trust Alex with it—now, again, and again.
10-17-12: Old Age
Characters: Makoto Nanami, Yukio Katsukawa
Of all the ways Makoto could have died, statistically, this was the least likely. Probability tended to run in his favour, he supposed.
He should have died on the streets when his mother abandoned him. He survived.
He should have died in his first job for the gang. His wits and instincts kept him alive.
He should have died from any of the bullets that had torn through him over the years. He was strong, and had pulled through.
Now—comfortable in bed, surrounded by his beautiful husband, children, and grandchildren, body worn with time—he was no longer afraid.
10-18-12: Unexpected, Not Unwanted
Characters: Tomoki Yonemura, Yukio Katsukawa
It was beyond shock, beyond disbelief. He wanted to think it was all a poor prank, but he knew Yu would never take part in such a thing. And the sonogram couldn’t lie.
He managed a question that the doctor answered unhelpfully, but he wasn’t really listening. Yu’s hand was tight around his with fear.
The band had been his priority until Yu had entered his heart. As for kids, he liked them, even if he never thought he’d have any of his own. Now the start of their own family was growing inside of Yu, impossibly.
He squeezed back.
